May is full of events across the nation. From Memorial Day to celebrating graduations, there is a lot to do and enjoy. Whichever you are doing, here are some events to enjoy and tips on how to handle attending a graduation.

Revolutionary War Encampment | Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum
Memorial Day weekend begins with a bang at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum Revolutionary War Encampment following the Wethersfield Memorial Day parade.
Memorial Day | Sunset Meadow Vineyards
Celebrate Memorial Day at Sunset Meadow Vineyards with wine tastings and more. Remember all of those lost in service of this country and thank them in a toast with a glass of Sunset Meadow wine.
Perhaps you’re going to be attending a graduation soon, too. As a parent, uncle, aunt, grandmother, grandfather, family friend, or loved one, a graduation can be an exciting experience. Be sure to consider these points before you attend, so that you are adequately prepared.
Book accommodation in advance.
Hotels near the graduation ceremony or university campus tend to sell out of available rooms early on graduation weekend. Avoid disappointment by securing your accommodation early.
Set off early. Many graduates and friends and family will be attending the graduation. Leave yourself plenty of time to get to the location on time, find parking, and make it to your seat.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. During the day, you may be walking from place to place and sitting down for long periods of time. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen and water, and stay energized throughout the day with snack bars.
Take your camera. You don’t want to miss this moment that the graduate has worked so hard to achieve. Be sure to get your camera ready to take candid shots and plenty of the graduate – he or she will want to revel in this glorious moment!
Be prepared. Remember to take your ticket (if necessary), and a card (or flowers, a balloon, or both!) to celebrate your graduate!
