Get moving and have fun at a great seasonal Hartford, CT event, the Ugly Sweater Run!
It’s the time of year. Holiday sweaters are coming out in full force, and you can expect to see plenty of them in the coming weeks. You might even have a few sweaters of your own.
If you’ve got a puffy paint, bell riddled, gaudy sweater, don’t hide it in your attic! The perfect opportunity to show off your embarrassing-but-beloved holiday attire is just around the corner. The Ugly Sweater Run in Hartford on December 5th gives you the chance to showcase your junky jumper while you get active and have fun with your community!
The 5k (3.1 mile) run, kicking off from Bushnell Park at 11:00 a.m., will be packed with holiday festivity. At the start line, there will be photo stations and holiday tunes will be playing. Once out on the course, you’ll find stations with a holiday theme every mile, plus a spot to grab hot chocolate to get the electrolytes you need to finish strong and snow blowers.
After the race, you’ll get a beer (if you’re of age), more hot chocolate, and holiday treats. There will be fun contents, like worst sweater and best fake mustache. For your effort, you’ll also get a custom vintage knit hat!
